Business Applications Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design, configuration, implementation, and continuous optimization of enterprise business applications, with a particular emphasis on Oracle NetSuite and associated Finance solutions.

• Create and support integrations among NetSuite, Salesforce, Snowflake, and other enterprise applications.

• Evaluate business processes and requirements, converting them into scalable solutions and integration designs.

• Develop and maintain integration specifications, data mappings, interface documentation, process flows, and diagrams representing current and future states of solutions.

• Assess whether requirements should be satisfied through configuration, integration, automation, or application development, while minimizing unnecessary customization.

• Discover opportunities to automate manual processes and enhance interoperability among systems.

• Diagnose complex application and integration challenges, conducting root-cause analysis across systems, interfaces, and data flows.

• Support integration controls, including error handling, monitoring, logging, reconciliation, and operational support procedures.

• Collaborate with business teams, technical teams, external implementation partners, and vendors to review solutions and clarify requirements.

• Assist with data migration, validation, testing, deployment, and post-implementation stabilization.

• Develop queries, scripts, and technical utilities for analysis, troubleshooting, data validation, and automation.

• Engage throughout the software development lifecycle, from discovery to operational transition.

• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to knowledge transfer initiatives.

• Explore emerging enterprise application capabilities to identify improvement opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Around 5+ years of experience in enterprise business applications, systems integration, solution design, or similar technology roles.

• Significant experience with ERP platforms, preferably Oracle NetSuite.

• Experience in supporting or integrating ERP, CRM, Finance, data, or other enterprise SaaS platforms.

• Familiarity with enterprise integration concepts, including REST/SOAP APIs, authentication, data mapping and transformation, error handling, and integration patterns.

• Experience in translating business requirements into technical specifications and solution designs.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

• Experience with SQL and relational data is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, or another enterprise CRM platform is a plus.

• Experience with Snowflake or a similar cloud data platform is beneficial.

• Familiarity with NetSuite technologies such as SuiteTalk, SuiteFlow, and SuiteScript is advantageous.

• Experience with iPaaS or middleware technologies is a plus.

• Understanding of Finance processes such as accounts payable, expense management, general ledger, banking, and financial integrations is a plus.

• Experience collaborating with external implementation partners and vendors.

• Knowledge of the SDLC, change management, and IT service management practices.

• Excellent documentation, facilitation, and communication skills.

• A demonstrated curiosity and the ability to swiftly learn unfamiliar technologies, business processes, and system relationships.
