Business Applications Analyst, Commercial Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Sales, Service, Marketing, and various stakeholders to comprehend business requirements, enhance processes, and provide technology solutions.

• Act as the main point of contact between business units, IT, vendors, and external partners.

• Serve as the business application owner for designated commercial systems.

• Oversee application backlogs, prioritize enhancements, coordinate vendor and support activities, and contribute to the development of application roadmaps.

• Evaluate business processes, system performance, and data quality to uncover opportunities for automation, optimization, improved reporting, and enriched user experiences.

• Define, validate, and implement system enhancements, integrations, and business process improvements in collaboration with delivery teams and technical resources.

• Support integrations and cross-functional business processes across Salesforce, SAP-connected processes, and other enterprise applications.

• Lead or facilitate technology initiatives and application enhancement projects, including project planning, stakeholder management, activity tracking, risk mitigation, and execution.

• Engage in all phases of the SDLC, including requirements gathering, testing, deployment, change management, and production support.

• Advocate for data governance, best practices in application use, user adoption, and ongoing improvement.

• Contribute to technology roadmaps, performance metrics, and the long-term strategy for systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, Business Systems, or a related field; or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in business systems analysis, application ownership, CRM administration, application support, or similar business technology roles.

• Experience in supporting enterprise applications and business processes within Sales, Service, Marketing, Customer Experience, or other commercial business functions.

• Proficient understanding of Salesforce or similar CRM platforms, business process analysis, system integrations, enterprise applications, and ERP-connected processes, preferably including SAP.

• Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and project leadership abilities.

• Experience in supporting or leading technology initiatives.

• Familiarity with SDLC, Agile methodologies, testing, change management, and application lifecycle management practices.

• Capability to sit and perform coordinated finger movements for keyboard data entry for a significant portion of the working day.

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

• Capacity to work in a general office environment.

• May require regular ground travel to other company locations.

• Long-distance or air travel may be necessary, not exceeding 10% of travel.
