This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
β’ Act as the main contact for the WIC project within the division.
β’ Become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on new system modules and enhancements to current systems.
β’ Provide Maintenance and Operations Support for the Vendor Management Portal and Local Agency Portal, facilitating WIC operations.
β’ Collaborate with the project team, business partners, and system vendors to collect and finalize business requirements.
β’ Analyze current business processes, gather relevant information, and recommend improvements along with optimal system design.
β’ Engage actively in Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions for new systems and functionalities within existing systems.
β’ Evaluate vendor-created design documentation for thoroughness, completeness, design gaps, and alignment with business partner requirements.
β’ Create test plans and test scenarios for the WIC project and take part in system testing.
β’ Monitor and follow up on project Risks, Action Items, and Decisions (RAID) items.
β’ Prior experience in performing business analysis for large-scale IT systems or experience in determining eligibility or providing administration support for the WIC program.
β’ Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of recent, relevant work experience.
β’ Over 3 years of experience in a Business Analyst role or more than 2 years of strong background in the WIC program.
β’ Experience in defining business challenges, gathering and documenting requirements, identifying business solutions, and ensuring those solutions meet established requirements.
β’ Capability to manage a substantial workload with general oversight.
β’ Must be self-driven and able to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with team members.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Proficient in problem-solving techniques.
β’ Must be flexible and adaptable to changes in a dynamic environment.
β’ Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
β’ Skills in relationship management and facilitation.
β’ Strong decision-making capabilities.
β’ Attention to detail is essential.
β’ Maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion are critical.
