Business Analyst Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Assist in the design, enhancement, and functionality of enterprise financial analytics solutions.

• Aid in the creation and upkeep of Microsoft Fabric data pipelines.

• Support financial analytics workflows for NJTA.

• Improve Power BI semantic models, measures, and reports.

• Contribute to initiatives in machine learning and forecasting.

• Conduct data quality assessments and document underlying assumptions.

• Assist in schema design and implement best practices in data governance.

• Help to automate recurring analytics and reporting tasks.

• Engage in exploratory analysis and ad hoc financial modeling to aid in planning decisions.

• Collaborate with stakeholders in Finance, IT, and Analytics to convert business requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in Finance, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.

• Passion for financial data, analytics, and contemporary data platforms.

• Proficiency in Excel; additional experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, or PySpark is advantageous.

• Familiarity with databases, data modeling, or ETL concepts is preferred.

• Capability to learn swiftly, juggle multiple priorities, and work independently with some guidance.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts.
