• Collaborate closely with business partners to gain insights into current operations and explore how existing and future systems can enhance productivity and quality.
• Perform analyses to identify the most effective strategies for tackling business challenges and opportunities, including process enhancements, system upgrades, and improvements in CCV quality.
• Implement business process modeling techniques to ensure deliverables focus on business outcomes, which can be utilized as input for Product Delivery teams and executive decision-making by both line of business and IT partners.
• Lead sessions focused on future-state processes and visioning with business partners.
• Establish measurable objectives for process improvement and engage in grooming feature sessions.
• Collaborate with the Appeals Manager to define project requirements and actively facilitate the execution of process enhancements.
• Ensure the product meets customer and end-user needs by representing business users in product testing and evaluation, linking product enhancements to changes in business processes.
• Convert business requirements into use cases and actionable deliverables.
• Partner with data teams to enhance the accuracy and usability of appeal reporting.
• Create dashboards or reporting requirements for leadership purposes.
• Minimize manual processes and rework in appeal processing.
• Enhance workflows for intake, routing, and adjudication.
• Identify inconsistencies in appeal handling across different teams.
• Conduct ad hoc research and assist with special projects as assigned.
• Fulfill all responsibilities as detailed in the annual performance review and/or goal-setting.
• Complete all special projects and other assigned duties.
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Preferred experience in Healthcare Systems and Operations
• 5 years of experience in Business Process development
• Strong skills in relationship building and customer orientation.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business partners to identify needs, address challenges, and provide solutions.
• Capacity to engage with business users in a sensitive and diplomatic manner while constructively challenging existing procedures and encouraging collaboration on project objectives.
• Proficiency in translating complex business needs into clear, actionable solutions.
• Consistently effective critical thinking skills are essential.
• Excellent organizational skills and a commitment to thorough documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly with remote and international teams.
• Professional demeanor, capable of using appropriate language, tone, style, and structure in both oral and written communications.
• Positive and supportive approach in interactions with all internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work with a sense of urgency.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all communications involving sensitive information.
• Self-motivated and adaptable, thriving in a fast-evolving environment.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel and Power BI, as well as competency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a matrixed, cross-functional setting. Additionally, the Appeals Business Analyst should have strong communication skills and be skilled in managing multiple priorities. Attention to detail and the ability to convert complex business requirements into actionable solutions are critical for success in this position.
