Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Gather, document, and uphold comprehensive business rules governing election workflows.

• Illustrate user interactions with business rules within the platform, capturing decision-making points and workflow branches.

• Generate organized business rules documentation in practical formats.

• Collaborate with Business Solution Architects to guarantee that solution designs align with the foundational business rules.

• Analyze and map end-to-end election workflows as experienced by government users.

• Lead structured requirements workshops with government clients to gather business rules and workflow needs.

• Assess proposed product features and solution designs against relevant election laws.

• Act as a subject matter expert during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Over 4 years of experience in business analysis, election administration, government program management, or a closely related area.

• Practical knowledge of election administration processes, including at least one of the following: voter registration, ballot management, tabulation, results reporting, or election night operations.

• Proven ability to document intricate business rules and workflows in structured, clear formats for diverse audiences.

• Experience in facilitating requirements sessions or workshops with government stakeholders or subject matter experts.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with the skill to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and edge cases in requirements and process documentation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the proficiency to convert domain expertise into product-relevant documentation.

• Understanding of Agile software development practices and the integration of business analysis with sprint-based delivery teams.
