Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Engage in investigative efforts to identify key business opportunities and aid in establishing effective new or enhanced business processes.

• Outline how these enhancements can be achieved through improvements in information systems, data management, and operational practices.

• Collaborate closely with senior client and IT personnel on strategic studies, detailed requirements specifications, and feasibility analyses.

• Ensure that all stakeholder viewpoints are thoroughly considered, verified, and validated, aligning priorities with overarching business goals.

• Utilize your business expertise to evaluate and provide guidance on the feasibility of various solution alternatives, adeptly merging technical possibilities with operational realities.

• Take responsibility for the detailed specification and modeling of proposed solutions, applying the necessary resources, standards, methods, and tools.

• Maintain robust relationships with software engineering and service delivery teams, actively contributing to the successful implementation of systems.

• Elicit, analyze, and document comprehensive functional and non-functional requirements.

• Create clear, concise, and actionable User Stories and acceptance criteria that accurately reflect business needs and guide our development teams.

• Analyze current and future state business processes, identify gaps, and suggest optimizations.

• Effectively apply established standards, methods, and tools to produce consistently high-quality documentation, encompassing both technical details and descriptive elements.

• Actively engage in planning and facilitating meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagement throughout system investigations and subsequent development efforts.

• Work closely with Product Owners to refine and manage the product backlog, ensuring user stories are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for development.

• Conduct thorough business impact assessments to comprehend how proposed changes will influence business units and individual roles.

• Provide ongoing clarification to development and testing teams during sprints to ensure solutions are aligned with business intentions.

• Develop and implement business readiness plans, including IT deployment, data migration, capability development (training and engagement), and all necessary activities for integrating new processes or roles into daily operations.

• Evaluate the readiness levels of business users for upcoming changes, identify any gaps, and create and execute action plans to address these gaps prior to go-live.

• Assist the user community with transition support and change planning, collaborating closely with the project team.

• Monitor and report on progress against business readiness targets, business engagement activities, training design and deployment, key operational metrics, and measures of return to productivity.

• Support the business in defining and preparing user acceptance test scenarios, ensuring they can effectively validate solutions against their needs, providing essential assistance as they take on test execution responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in Business analysis tasks with over 3 years of experience in a Business Analysis role.

• Domain-level experience in the relevant field.

• Conducts work activities encompassing technical, financial, and quality aspects.

• Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and is fully adept at engaging with business users.

• Holds a broad understanding of business principles and skills, recognizing the importance of commercial constraints.

• Likely holds a bachelor's degree or a relevant professional qualification.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Agile frameworks and development life cycles.

• Understands the interdependencies of business processes and information systems.

• Has achieved proficiency in Requirements definition and management tasks.

• Experienced in communicating with stakeholders at all levels, both individually and in groups.
