Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with clients to assess their surveillance requirements and operational workflows.

• Evaluate customer data structures and pinpoint opportunities for enhancements.

• Develop ETL processes, create flow/UML diagrams, and analyze extensive datasets.

• Compose comprehensive and precise functional/technical specifications (FRS) derived from business requirements (BRDs).

• Facilitate walkthroughs of specifications with internal teams and clients alike.

• Collaborate with project managers to estimate implementation efforts.

• Conduct quality assurance on implementations to guarantee high alert quality and minimize false positives.

• Partner closely with engineers and stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Finance.

• 2–4 years of experience in a Business/Functional/Data Analyst position within the financial services sector.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.

• Familiarity with trading workflows or market microstructure (Equities, Fixed Income, FX/MM, or Derivatives).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience handling large, time-series datasets (millions of records per day) is advantageous.

• Proficiency in SQL; knowledge of Python or other scripting languages is a plus.

• Understanding of cloud technologies is beneficial.

• Well-organized, proactive, and capable of prioritizing competing tasks efficiently.
