This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Work collaboratively with business stakeholders, project managers, software developers, and end-users to collect detailed requirements for the software transition initiative.
• Perform an in-depth analysis of current business processes, workflows, and system functionalities to uncover gaps and opportunities for enhancement.
• Develop comprehensive and clear requirement documents, including business process flows, use cases, and user stories that effectively convey project necessities to technical teams.
• Facilitate clear communication between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring all parties have a mutual understanding of project objectives and requirements.
• Outline existing and proposed business processes to identify potential bottlenecks, redundancies, and areas for optimization.
• Identify and document key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics to assess the effectiveness of the software transition.
• Collaborate closely with software developers and architects to convert business requirements into functional specifications, ensuring the software solution aligns with business goals.
• Assist in defining user interfaces, system workflows, and data integrations to improve overall system usability and efficiency.
• Partner with QA teams to create test scenarios and test cases based on the documented requirements.
• Engage in testing activities, verifying that the software solution fulfills business needs and operates reliably.
• Aid in formulating change management strategies to guarantee a smooth adoption of the new software system by end-users.
• Offer training and support to end-users to ensure a seamless transition to the new system.
• Identify potential risks and challenges throughout the software transition project and proactively work to mitigate them.
• Provide suggestions for risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Logistics, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience (5+ years) as a Business Analyst in logistics or supply chain management, particularly in software transition or implementation projects.
• Strong understanding of logistics operations, industry best practices, and software systems commonly utilized in the logistics sector.
• Proficient in requirement elicitation techniques, process mapping, and business process reengineering.
• Experience with Agile or similar project management methodologies.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence environments is an advantage.
• Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA processes.
• Knowledge of web applications (especially with PHP, JS, and MySQL) is a plus.
