Building Operations Technician II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Commission, repair, and service mechanical and electrical equipment related to new Data Center Cooling projects.

• Examine work orders, blueprints, schematic diagrams, and other relevant materials to identify tasks to be completed, as well as the tools, equipment, and parts necessary for installation or repair.

• Exhibit proficiency in managing complex jobs with the aim of reducing the impact on the customer's facility and experience while also minimizing the financial strain on the company.

• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot unusual issues in system operation and maintenance.

• Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients while maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.

• May provide recommendations to management concerning customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Three to five years of experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting; HVAC servicing or similar electromechanical experience is preferred.

• Willingness to travel approximately 85% of the time to various job sites for commissioning and warranty tasks.

• Exceptional analytical abilities and keen attention to detail.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and manuals.

• Capable of staying on project until root cause analysis is completed.

• Outstanding customer service skills with a commitment to exceed the expectations of both internal and external customers.

• Ability to work independently and efficiently, ensuring tasks are completed accurately with external technicians, as well as the capacity to follow up on parts delivery.

• Preferred completion of a Trade/technical school or relevant certification is a plus.

• Experience with industrial HVAC equipment or similar electromechanical products is preferred.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

• Intermediate experience with commercial projects.

• Building automation experience is a plus.
