
Build Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
β’ You will be responsible for designing the systems that enable Build to scale effectively. Your role will involve standardizing the playbook, documenting successful strategies, eliminating bottlenecks, and implementing AI and automation for repetitive tasks, allowing your team to focus on impactful work.
β’ You will be accountable for the revenue and growth of Build. This includes owning market conversions, forecasting performance, identifying risks and opportunities early, and collaborating with the CEO, Head of Marketing, Product, and Design Operations to remove any obstacles preventing a client from achieving a completed project. If a market is underperforming, you will create and execute a plan for improvement.
β’ You will recruit, coach, and develop a team of Build Project Managers who excel in their roles. By establishing clear expectations and KPIs, you will uphold a high standard of accountability and foster a culture centered around ownership, results, and efficiency.
β’ You will ensure that the contractors within our network consistently meet the required standards for conversion, responsiveness, quality, and execution. You will expand the network to support growth only when the data indicates it is necessary.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations, project management, program management, or business operations, preferably with ownership of a business or P&L.
β’ At least 3 years of experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
β’ A proven track record of owning a target and exceeding it.
β’ Experience in managing external partners, vendors, or contractor networks.
β’ Strong analytical skills. You utilize data, KPIs, and dashboards to inform decision-making.
β’ Experience in landscape construction, residential construction, outdoor living, or a related field is highly preferred.
