Budget Execution Analyst – Subject Matter Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the execution of the budget, distribution of funds, and tracking of obligations and commitments for GSMO operations.

• Oversee budget implementation in relation to the plan; detect variances and suggest corrective measures to leadership.

• Prepare and sustain budget execution documentation, including Annual Budget Execution Reports and related financial analyses.

• Reconcile financial data and address discrepancies in collaboration with pertinent financial offices.

• Implement DoD FMR, DAFI 65-series, and other relevant financial management policies and procedures.

• Uphold internal controls and guarantee compliance with financial management regulations; assist with inspections, audits, and readiness requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Act as a subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of business and/or financial operations roles.

• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.

• A Bachelor's degree in a field related to the responsibilities (e.g., finance, accounting, business administration, or a similar discipline).

• Capability to obtain and retain a Common Access Card (CAC); must fulfill background investigation criteria to access controlled unclassified information (CUI) and DoD facilities.

• Proficient understanding of the DoD Financial Management Regulation (FMR), Joint Travel Regulations (JTR), and DAFI 65-series regulations.

• Required experience with systems: Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System (DEAMS) for accounting and budget execution; and adeptness with spreadsheet and reporting tools (e.g., MS Excel) for budget analysis and execution reporting.
