Budget Application, Automation, Artificial Intelligence Support Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Create, enhance, and modify web-based applications, client-server applications, and operating system scripts to streamline budgetary and programmatic workflows within the VHA Specialty Care Program Office.

• Engage in application development and database programming utilizing Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and SQL.

• Implement and integrate Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) software solutions into current VA system architectures.

• Oversee and assist in the complete software development lifecycle.

• Document testing conditions, perform program testing, and analyze outcomes to identify any defects.

• Investigate and assess emerging technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 8 years of practical experience in application development and programming.

• A Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field is mandatory.

• Previous experience supporting IT programs for federal agencies.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a VA Position of Public Trust.

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.

• Proven expertise in utilizing a formal Systems Development Methodology (SDM).
