This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Lead brand strategy initiatives for our branding clients, encompassing positioning, narrative, audience analysis, messaging frameworks, brand voice, and identity briefs.
• Conduct discovery and research to formulate a strategy, including founder interviews, audience analysis, competitive landscape assessments, brand audits, and stakeholder workshops.
• Create marketing strategies for clients that encompass launch campaigns, content programs, channel mix, and go-to-market storytelling, building upon the brand foundation.
• Produce copy for various platforms including websites, presentations, brand books, launch materials, and other touchpoints such as landing pages, manifestos, product narratives, taglines, and short-form social media content.
• Collaborate with our brand designers and creative leads to ensure that strategy is effectively translated into identity, design, and the overall output we deliver.
• Work closely with our producers, motion team, and editors to ensure brand language and voice are consistently maintained across all outputs.
• Assist in scoping strategy work within larger branding and production engagements, balancing thoroughness with feasibility.
• Support new business efforts when strategy forms part of the pitch, helping to shape opportunities from initial inquiry through to closure.
• Elevate the work beyond the conventional. We seek individuals with refined taste, sharp thinking, and the drive to refine a positioning line until it resonates effectively.
• 4 to 7 years of experience in brand strategy, preferably within a brand or marketing consultancy, strategy-driven studio, or in-house at a dynamic company.
• A robust portfolio showcasing brand strategy work, including positioning, narrative development, messaging frameworks, brand voice, and the briefs that connect strategy to identity.
• Comprehensive understanding of how brand strategy translates into identity, voice, and design, along with the ability to brief and collaborate with designers to realize it.
• Proficient copywriter in both long-form and short-form, with writing samples that illustrate versatility across narrative, web content, presentations, and branding materials.
• Foundational knowledge of marketing strategy—audience, positioning, go-to-market strategies, channels, funnel dynamics, and the interplay between brand strategy and launch, content, and performance.
• Strong research acumen. You possess the skills to design discovery processes for new clients, ask pertinent questions during founder interviews, and distill insights from complex landscapes into a coherent perspective.
• Confident in client-facing situations. You can lead workshops with founders and leadership teams, command the room, and provide constructive feedback when necessary.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced agency environment where timelines are fluid, scopes change, and projects may require after-hours responsiveness.
• Self-directed and skilled in remote work. You can independently manage your own discovery processes, timelines, and keep clients aligned without constant supervision.
• Composed, organized, and reliable under pressure, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
