This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• This role is accountable for overseeing the brand and marketing strategy along with the continuous management of the product brand portfolio.
• The scope encompasses the development of global corporate brands, including brand creation, brand statements, brand positioning, as well as the introduction of new brands and potential acquisitions.
• The position aids the broader business unit in achieving specified market share targets and annual sales and gross profit objectives on a country-by-country basis by collaborating closely with the Henry Schein Brand Product Management, Product Content, and Commercial Teams.
• Additionally, this role is tasked with sub-brand strategy, establishing packaging standards/guidelines, and identifying competitive benchmark brands to guide pricing and promotional initiatives.
• Clearly define the positioning of any existing or new brand to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the brand's value proposition, its positioning in relation to benchmark competitive brands, and its packaging and design elements.
• Work in partnership with business unit leadership to advocate for and uphold these brands, ensuring a cohesive global brand with a distinct value proposition for both customers and internal sales, marketing, and merchandising teams.
• Formulate product positioning and support the product launch strategy based on forecast metrics.
• Establish and develop an annual marketing strategy that aligns with business objectives.
• Oversee and monitor the annual marketing budget.
• Define and manage the in-market portfolio strategy, which includes phasing out low-performing SKUs and identifying gaps and opportunities.
• Typically, a minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible and complex professional experience is required.
• Experience in the healthcare or dental market is preferred.
• Advanced brand management expertise with a proven track record of creating, launching, and managing successful global product brands.
• Ability to understand, interpret, and act on financial information and data that impacts business outcomes and profitability.
• Strong research capabilities with the ability to develop, implement, and interpret customer feedback research related to brand and product insights.
• Skills in content development, business process planning, and market assessment.
• Requires creativity, conceptual thinking, project management, and collaboration skills in a matrixed environment.
• Proficient in planning and managing successful projects; understanding available resources, developing timelines, budgets, and assigning tasks and responsibilities.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills are essential.
