This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take charge of the social media content calendar from start to finish: strategizing, creating, scheduling, and posting on-brand content across various channels.
• Conceptualize and propose campaign ideas that enhance brand visibility and align with demand generation objectives.
• Oversee community engagement by monitoring channels, responding to comments and messages, and alerting the team to opportunities or concerns.
• Manage performance analytics: monitor key metrics, identify trends, and provide recommendations for future actions.
• Serve as the guardian of the brand voice, ensuring all published materials are in line with commonsku's tone and values.
• Aid in planning and placing paid advertisements with PPAI and other industry publications, while also tracking budgets and reporting on outcomes.
• Create press releases and other communications for the industry, collaborating with the Manager, Brand and Demand on messaging and approval prior to distribution.
• Assist in building and nurturing relationships with industry media contacts and publications.
• Contribute to commonsku's visibility at industry events and in content aimed at industry audiences.
• Help with the ordering and production of branded merchandise.
• Supervise distribution lists and ensure quality control for merchandise programs.
• Support the Manager, Brand and Demand, as well as the Marketing Campaign Manager, in the planning and prioritization of brand and demand campaigns.
• Recently earned a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline.
• Practical experience in managing social media for a business—gained through a co-op, internship, or similar experience—covering content planning and performance analysis.
• Comfortable writing for external audiences or eager to learn: press releases, industry publications, or other public-facing communications.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
• A proactive mindset with a sense of ownership—ready to lead a channel or campaign with minimal guidance and willing to seek help when necessary.
• Strong organizational capabilities, able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• A genuine passion for brand development, social media, and the opportunity to represent a company externally.
• A good sense of humor and the ability to infuse that into social media—capable of creating content that feels fresh, fun, and relatable.
• Bonus qualifications include: A completed co-op or internship in marketing, branding, or communications, and prior experience with Hubspot.
