This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Actively seek out, target, and cultivate new referral partner connections with real estate agents and other industry professionals in the designated area.
• Sustain and enhance client relationships with both existing and prospective accounts.
• Strengthen established relationships through regular in-person visits, ongoing follow-up, and communication focused on value.
• Organize and hold weekly face-to-face meetings with potential and current referral partners to comprehend their needs and align services accordingly.
• Work in conjunction with the internal marketing and loan origination teams to support referral partners.
• Participate in local and regional networking events related to real estate and mortgage, including broker previews, trade shows, community engagements, and meetings of real estate associations.
• Represent the company in a professional and strategic manner at industry events to enhance brand visibility and increase referral volume.
• Interact with attendees after events to seize business opportunities.
• Follow up with leads, agents, and referral sources to ensure business growth and attendance at referral partner events.
• Plan and execute events aimed at generating new business leads, including cold calling agents to confirm their attendance.
• Create and implement marketing campaigns to promote mortgage products and services.
• Formulate client retention strategies and follow-up procedures, including outreach and thank-you notes.
• Remain informed about market trends, lending products, and local real estate activities.
• Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to pinpoint growth opportunities.
• Establish and meet business development targets for sales growth.
• Provide regular reports and activity trackers on business development initiatives and performance metrics.
• Update the CRM to monitor and document outreach efforts, follow-ups, and new relationship metrics.
• Build and sustain a comprehensive list of target real estate agents, ensuring regular engagement and outreach.
• Travel locally as needed to fulfill the minimum number of face-to-face meetings with business partners and phone calls each week.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Over 2 years of business development or sales experience in the mortgage, real estate, or financial services sectors.
• Background in an administrative or office management role.
• Experience in conducting meetings and leading projects and events.
• Preferred experience in maintaining a professional network.
• Proficient in CRM software.
• Advanced skills in networking and building relationships.
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and negotiation abilities.
• Skilled in prioritizing and organizing to manage multiple engagements each week.
• Competent with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
