• Serve as an internal Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the US MGA & Program business, focusing on acquiring comprehensive knowledge of products and relevant data, and making determinations regarding data interpretation for downstream onboarding, including the validation of data accuracy and quality.
• Enhance and refine current data standards for the MGA & Program business by partnering with business and technology teams to sustain data dictionaries and templates.
• Collaborate closely with Program Managers to negotiate and collect necessary policy, premium, claims, and risk exposure data from Brokers, MGAs, Coverholders, or TPAs, as well as escalate issues to internal teams when needed.
• Oversee the complete data onboarding process for the Bordereaux Management System (BMS), which includes but is not limited to:
• Analyzing and mapping data to verify the accuracy and completeness of collected information, which may involve identifying duplicate entries, missing details, or incorrect figures.
• Partner with data engineering teams to ensure data integration into our Bordereaux Management System (BMS).
• Conduct acceptance testing on data uploaded to confirm it reconciles with source files and adheres to the defined mapping and validation rules.
• Monitor and resolve data quality issues to ensure compliance with established standards and timelines, either by addressing them internally or reaching out to partners for corrections.
• Work collaboratively with our internal Business Intelligence (BI) team and key business stakeholders to create insights, analytics, and reports to:
• Identify trends, potential risks, and areas for improvement related to the overall performance of a portfolio.
• Ensure that Brokers, MGAs, Coverholders, or TPAs are fulfilling the terms and conditions outlined in the Program Management Agreements (PMA) and Binding Authority Agreements.
• Meet the requirements of regulators, reinsurers, market bodies, and internal compliance teams, including ISO/ISS, Lloyds, and premium tax, among others.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and improve oversight and decision-making.
• Establish and uphold best practices in master and reference data management, data mapping, data modeling, and data integration concerning the Bordereaux Management System (BMS).
• Ensure that process and training documentation related to Bordereaux Management Procedures is consistently updated.
• Remain informed about market standards (including ACORD and Lloyds) and changes to bordereaux data and processing requirements.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of experience in data analysis and data management.
• More than 5 years of experience in the (Re)insurance industry, covering US Property & Casualty, International Markets, and Life, Accident & Health segments.
• Proficient in utilizing the latest business intelligence tools and query tools, particularly Power BI, SQL, and Spark.
• Strong grasp of data modeling and data processing frameworks such as SSIS, Python, and Databricks.
• Exceptional skills in data analysis and data management documentation.
• Excellent organizational, written, verbal, and presentation abilities.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills, especially concerning data management.
• Capability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Strong leadership qualities that promote collaboration and drive solutions within a data team.
• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and remain adaptable in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
