This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Evaluate and organize transactions that are unable to be processed automatically.
• Reconcile monthly financial records for designated client accounts.
• Detect and report any unusual or questionable transactions.
• Ensure precise coding in accordance with established accounting standards and IRS chart of accounts guidelines.
• Manage roughly 5–6 client accounts per specialist.
• Address client queries related to transactions and bookkeeping issues through the support platform.
• Conduct brief consultations (via email or phone) to clarify transaction specifics.
• Maintain a compassionate and professional communication approach.
• Manage cases that require ongoing communication to ensure accuracy.
• Review bookkeeping activities prior to the monthly close.
• Ensure adherence to bookkeeping standards and procedures.
• Escalate complex issues when needed.
• Record customer interactions and updates in the support system.
• Follow internal workflows and bookkeeping protocols.
• Keep financial records organized for auditing and tracking purposes.
• Previous bookkeeping experience (of any level).
• Knowledge of general accounting principles.
• Strong proficiency in English (both written and verbal).
• Customer service experience is essential.
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Empathetic and people-centered communication style.
• Comfortable working asynchronously and in U.S. time zones.
• Ability to work flexible hours during peak tax seasons.
• Experience with large accounting firms is a plus (e.g., Big 4 background).
