This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.
• Manage the pre-suit claims process from the initial report through to resolution, ensuring thorough documentation, proper investigation, and prompt communication with claimants, policyholders, and other involved parties.
• Evaluate complex or high-value bodily injury claims to determine liability, coverage, and damages.
• Work in conjunction with adjusters to guarantee that appropriate investigation, assessment, and negotiation methods are utilized to achieve equitable claim resolutions.
• Address any technical inquiries posed by adjusters.
• Examine claims data to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for enhancing processes.
• Create and deliver regular reports to management, emphasizing key performance indicators, challenges, and suggested solutions.
• Review new lawsuits and prepare them for transfer to defense counsel.
• Reassess injury claims upon receipt of new information.
• Record time demands and oversee response monitoring.
• Authorize coverage denials and sign coverage disclosure letters for BI/UM claims.
• Address Civil Remedy Notices.
• Compile monthly metrics and reports for senior management.
• Directly oversee employees and fulfill supervisory duties in line with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; recognizing and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving issues.
• At least 3 years of experience in handling and/or supervising Texas Bodily Injury Claims is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter) or AIC designation is highly desirable.
• Active Adjuster's License is necessary.
• Demonstrated team leadership and supervisory experience.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in claims operations, procedures, and practices, especially in the BI/UM market.
• Prior experience managing bodily injury claims in Texas, with a solid understanding of state-specific laws and claims processes.
• Familiarity with regulations at the federal, state, and local levels is essential.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with strong analytical and presentation capabilities.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Windows-based applications, and internet navigation.
