Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +20 more states.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive investigations into bodily injury claims, which includes analyzing medical records, police reports, and witness statements.

• Assess the severity of injuries and establish liability in accordance with policy coverage, state laws, and legal standards.

• Engage with claimants, attorneys, medical providers, and other relevant parties to collect essential information and documentation.

• Review medical reports and bills to evaluate the nature and extent of injuries to determine suitable compensation.

• Negotiate settlements with claimants and their representatives, adhering to company policies and regulatory guidelines.

• Work collaboratively with internal teams, legal counsel, and management to address complex claims and minimize risk.

• Ensure the maintenance of precise and thorough claim files, documentation, and activity logs in line with company standards and industry best practices.

• Keep updated on changes in laws, regulations, and industry trends relevant to the management of bodily injury claims.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the insurance field.

• At least 3 years of experience in bodily injury claims adjusting or a similar position.

• Experience with CA and non-standard auto insurance is advantageous.

• Strong understanding of insurance principles, policies, and procedures.

• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and injury assessment.

• Outstanding analytical and decision-making abilities, capable of evaluating complex issues and negotiating equitable settlements.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience handling attorney-represented bodily injury claims.

• Proficient in claims management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
