
Blade Data Capture Specialist – External Drone Pilot

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.
• Collect field data efficiently.
• Perform drone inspections on wind turbine blades and other infrastructure while adhering to safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Execute image and data capture missions with high accuracy and minimal defects.
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot remote-controlled equipment under various field conditions.
• Achieve data capture performance goals that include completion rates, data management, imagery quality, safety performance metrics, and project communication.
• Train new Data Capture Specialists or Contractors based on the proficiency of the employee.
• Ensure safety and compliance by maintaining high safety standards during all operations in line with industry best practices, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Adhere to and uphold relevant product-specific certifications and qualifications, such as EASA A1/A3, STS (Standard Scenario), and GWO.
• Provide operational support by assisting in forecasting equipment needs and coordinating site logistics with Operations Coordinators.
• Keep mission status updated using internal tools to guarantee visibility for stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with local site contacts to grasp project requirements and limitations.
• Proven experience with wind turbine inspections and advanced data capture techniques.
• Possession of EASA A1/A3 Global Wind Organization training certifications or a willingness to complete the necessary courses.
• STS (Standard Scenario) certification is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.
• Essential ability to adapt to various working environments.
• Experience in implementing and managing client Scope of Work (SOW) objectives.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with various teams and individuals to reach a consensus.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel domestically 75%-100% to support operations.
• Capability to lift 50 lbs with ease.
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work at elevated heights.
• Capacity to work outdoors year-round.
