This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Develops, reviews, tests, and maintains code to facilitate the creation of analytic datasets and conduct statistical analyses, ensuring precision, efficiency, and reproducibility.
• Implements data quality measures under the supervision of the Registry Lead to guarantee accuracy, completeness, and dependability of datasets.
• Collaborates closely with the Registry Lead to ensure the timely delivery of project milestones and compliance with deadlines.
• Assists the Registry Lead in upholding existing reports and generating new reports as required.
• Produces monthly analytic data sets, monthly reports, and quarterly reports, ensuring precision, consistency, and alignment with reporting standards.
• Acts as an additional contact point for assigned registries, proactively aiding colleagues by addressing registry-related inquiries regarding data structures, outputs, and more.
• Provides support for ad hoc projects and analyses as necessary.
• Develops data pipelines for the ingestion of external data sources and their integration with clinical registry data to produce combined datasets.
• Compiles, analyzes, and reports statistical data for various initiatives.
• Conducts intricate statistical analyses under supervision based on a statistical analysis plan.
• Aids the Biostatistical Team Lead in formulating new statistical methods for data measurement and analysis.
• Evaluates relevant literature and existing data, assesses the quality of data utilized in reports, and assists in the preparation and dissemination of periodic reports.
• Prepares written reports and summarizes data for investigators with minimal oversight.
• Contributes original insights to research initiatives, takes proactive steps in professional activities, and begins to demonstrate greater independence in statistical decision-making.
• Engages in close collaboration and knowledge exchange with other statistical analysts.
• A Master's degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Mathematics, or a related discipline is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of practical statistical experience is necessary.
• Proficiency in data manipulation and transformation of large, complex longitudinal datasets to support statistical analyses is required.
• Extensive experience in programming with R is mandatory.
• Familiarity with GitHub for reproducibility, version control, and collaborative work is preferred.
• Must be exceptionally organized and detail-oriented, exhibiting excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Requires clear writing skills and adherence to best practices in programming code documentation.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
• Must be able to successfully complete a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening.
