This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Respond to service requests within a hospital or healthcare system located in the Cape Girardeau region.
• Assess, diagnose, and execute repairs and planned maintenance on biomedical devices.
• Deliver exceptional service to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Under supervision, evaluate fundamental customer biomedical equipment concerns, implement necessary repairs, and conduct PM and safety/environmental inspections.
• Support more seasoned technicians with basic and complex repairs and resolutions.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with teammates and colleagues.
• Adhere to relevant GE policies, procedures, hospital protocols, and complete required documentation.
• Maintain daily communication with customers as instructed.
• Record all repair activities and submit reports/summaries on schedule.
• Improve and sustain technical knowledge of current standards, codes, and procedures regarding the safe and effective use of medical equipment through formal training.
• Comply with Health and Human Services, Environment Health and Safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• OR equivalent military education.
• OR completion of the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship, Apprenticeship, or Military Externship program.
• OR High School Diploma/GED with at least 2 years of experience in servicing electrical, electronics, IT, or mechanical equipment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical issues to customers in an easily understandable manner.
• The selected candidate must pass GEHC's standard background check, which includes a post-offer drug test.
• Must adhere to all customer access policies, which may involve obtaining and/or providing proof of required immunizations, as well as undergoing additional drug tests or background checks.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is mandatory.
• Availability for "after hours" work or participation in a rotating On-Call schedule, including weekends, for urgent issues and coverage as needed.
