Biomedical Equipment Technician III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Conduct initial inspections, calibrations, diagnostics, general maintenance, and repairs of both medical and non-medical support equipment (including medical package tools and equipment like generators and environmental control units). BMETs are required to adhere to the guidelines provided by the original equipment manufacturer, AFI, regulations, and unit directives.

• Manage the life cycle, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of medical and non-medical support equipment (such as oxygen generating systems, radiographic diagnostic equipment, and life support systems).

• This role will oversee BMET level I and II activities and will coordinate with the Contracting Officer Representative (COR).

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum/General Experience: A total of 10 years of field experience is required, including at least four years as a level II BMET, with expertise in managing initial inspections, calibrations, diagnostics, maintenance, life cycle management, repair of medical equipment, equipment acquisition, and compliance with OEM guidance and local/state/federal regulations.

• Minimum Education Requirement: An accredited Bachelor’s Degree is preferable but may be waived if the minimum field experience requirement is fulfilled. Candidates must have completed the DoD Biomedical Maintenance Course or an accredited civilian Biomedical Maintenance Course. Additionally, completion of the Planmeca digital dental course must occur no later than 12 months after contract award.
