This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee an enterprise biomedical service operating model that ensures quality, scalability, and uniformity.

• Standardize service protocols, workflows, documentation standards, escalation procedures, and leadership practices across various sites and regions.

• Enhance preventive maintenance compliance, reduce corrective maintenance response times, improve repair times, maximize equipment uptime, manage backlog, address overdue work orders, ensure work order quality, optimize technician effectiveness, and control service costs.

• Establish management systems, scorecards, and operational reviews to pinpoint issues and foster accountability.

• Strengthen CMMS discipline, focusing on asset records, preventive maintenance scheduling, work order processes, documentation, and reporting.

• Enhance regulatory readiness, maintenance documentation, audit preparedness, and compliance with healthcare standards.

• Define and oversee AEM and risk-based maintenance practices where applicable.

• Collaborate with field and site leaders to enhance execution, coach performance, and bridge operational gaps.

• Recruit, nurture, and bolster on-site and regional biomedical leadership.

• Coordinate efforts with external service and OEM partners.

• Travel frequently to maintain field visibility, support leaders directly, and implement enterprise standards.

• Boost PM completion rates, manage maintenance backlog, improve responsiveness, enhance uptime, ensure CMMS data integrity, facilitate audit performance, build customer trust, strengthen local leadership, and achieve operational consistency.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, clinical engineering, healthcare technology management, electronics, engineering technology, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in biomedical service, clinical engineering, or HTM operations.

• Proven experience managing multi-site hospital biomed operations or complex healthcare service environments.

• Demonstrated success in standardizing service delivery and enhancing operational performance across distributed teams.

• Extensive knowledge of medical equipment maintenance programs, service workflows, regulatory standards, and field leadership practices.

• Strong proficiency in CMMS systems, asset management, maintenance documentation, and operational reporting.

• Experience in driving PM compliance, managing backlog, improving uptime, ensuring work order quality, and enhancing technician productivity.

• Excellent people leadership abilities, including recruiting, coaching, accountability management, and leadership development.

• Capability to transition between strategic planning and hands-on execution.

• Willingness to travel frequently.

• Preferred: Certifications such as CBET, CCE, CRES, or CLES.

• Preferred: Experience with AEM programs and risk-based maintenance strategies.

• Preferred: Experience in a multi-vendor service environment.

• Preferred: Partnership experience with OEM and third-party service organizations.

• Preferred: Familiarity with acute care hospital operations.

• Preferred: Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
