This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Create comprehensive 2D and 3D BIM models along with construction drawings utilizing Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360/ACC, Navisworks, and Bluebeam Revu.
• Design and model various systems including Structured Cabling, Security, Audio Visual, Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), Outside Plant Infrastructure, and other low-voltage technologies.
• Engage in BIM coordination meetings with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants to address clashes and ensure model precision.
• Analyze BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), Design Intent documents, and project specifications.
• Aid the Design Director and VDC Manager in the development and upkeep of BIM standards, templates, libraries, and workflows.
• Provide insights regarding BIM software, hardware, training, and process enhancements.
• Generate 3D renderings for client proposals, covering areas such as conference rooms, data centers, and IDF/MDF spaces.
• Conduct electronic takeoffs using Autodesk products and Bluebeam.
• Support both BIM modeling and traditional 2D CAD drafting as required by project demands.
• Oversee multiple projects concurrently while adhering to deadlines and upholding quality benchmarks.
• Continuously enhance technical expertise in BIM software and low-voltage technologies.
• Collaborate with team members while offering guidance and mentorship to junior designers when applicable.
• 3-5+ years of experience in BIM, drafting, or design within domains such as Low Voltage Security Systems, Structured Cabling, Information Technology, Instrumentation & Controls, or Electronics.
• Associate's degree or technical background in Electronics, Information Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
• Strong command of AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with IP networking, low-voltage electronics, and power and communications systems.
• Capability to produce construction drawings that are accurate, organized, and visually appealing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.
• Self-driven with a keen interest in learning new technologies and industry best practices.
• Experience with any of the following is highly preferable: Access Control Systems, IP or Analog CCTV, Intrusion Detection Systems, Client-Server Security Platforms, Microsoft SQL Servers and Storage Arrays, Microsoft Visio, construction field experience, or familiarity with BIM360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
