This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Assess and evaluate energy billing data to ensure precision, recognize discrepancies, and facilitate accurate billing outcomes for clients.
• Examine automated bill verification failures to ascertain whether issues stem from retailer billing mistakes, system configurations, data quality, or other influencing factors.
• Analyze extensive data sets utilizing Excel and internal systems to detect patterns, exceptions, errors, and potential areas for savings or corrections.
• Scrutinize invoices, tariffs, rates, meter data, account details, and associated billing information to verify accuracy against expected agreements.
• Initiate billing disputes with energy retailers and ensure follow-up until resolution, which includes tracking credits, adjustments, and results.
• Keep precise case notes, ticket updates, supporting documentation, and resolution records within internal systems such as A2.
• Collaborate with internal teams, retailers, providers, and relevant stakeholders to gather information, clarify issues, and facilitate prompt dispute resolution.
• Monitor verified savings, billing corrections, credits, and financial outcomes that arise from investigation and dispute efforts.
• Elevate complex billing, data, or system challenges to the appropriate internal teams when further investigation or technical assistance is needed.
• Recognize recurring billing problems, system configuration issues, data gaps, and workflow inefficiencies to aid in process enhancement.
• Contribute to accurate reporting, internal updates, and operational visibility pertaining to verification activities and issue resolution.
• Manage client, retailer, and billing information with discretion, professionalism, and a keen attention to detail.
• Collaborate effectively with the SmartValidation, SmartSupport, and broader Eutility teams to ensure accurate, timely, and reliable bill verification outcomes.
• Perform other duties relevant to the position as they arise.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Science, Environmental Studies, Data Analytics, Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 2-5+ years of experience in billing analysis, bill verification, data analysis, utilities, energy, metering services, finance operations, or a comparable analytical support role.
• Experience with invoices, billing data, account information, tariffs, rates, meter data, or utility-related information is highly regarded.
• Strong analytical abilities to investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and accurately interpret billing or data issues.
• Proficient Microsoft Excel skills, including the capacity to work with large data sets, formulas, filters, reconciliations, and exception reporting.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meticulously review information while ensuring accuracy across repetitive and high-volume tasks.
• Capability to identify retailer billing errors, system configuration issues, data quality concerns, and process-related challenges.
• Experience in raising, tracking, and resolving disputes, queries, adjustments, credits, or billing corrections with external providers or internal teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to gather evidence, document findings, and suggest practical next steps.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple cases, deadlines, and follow-up actions.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with internal stakeholders, customers, retailers, and service providers.
• Familiarity with ticketing, CRM, workflow, or case management systems such as A2 or similar platforms is advantageous.
• Ability to adhere to established processes while discovering opportunities to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and reporting quality.
• Comfortable operating in a data-centric, process-driven environment with a strong commitment to confidentiality and quality.
