• Accountable for upholding Revenue Cycle Services and collaborating with various departments to resolve billing issues and denials that necessitate clinical expertise.
• Tasked with investigating, managing, and resolving claim denials and rejections for your designated client.
• Take full responsibility for all facets of the billing cycle for your assigned clients, including Charges, Payments, and Accounts Receivable metrics and performance.
• Stay organized to fulfill all necessary deadlines and timeframes for both customer and organizational requirements.
• Contribute to the development of processes and procedures for each assigned account.
• Monitor and evaluate current industry trends and issues for potential impacts on the organization.
• Maintain regular communication with your assigned clients to inform them of identified trends and suggest resolutions.
• Work collaboratively with all departments to guarantee billing accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide timely reports to the management team; initiate and communicate the resolution of issues such as payer denial trends, collection accounts, and inaccuracies in charges.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations, standards, and laws.
• Assist with additional projects as assigned by Operations leadership.
• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience: 1-2 Years in Medical Accounts Receivable
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Medical Billing Software Systems
• Understanding of the complete revenue cycle model
• In-depth knowledge of ICD and CPT application, best practices, and tools used in the healthcare sector, including audits
• Capability to interpret documents, medical records, and other materials related to medical claims
• Strong technical and computer skills (PM/EHR Software, Excel, Outlook, MS Office, Web)
• Ability to identify and address trends within your workflow
• Experience with Athena is preferred
• Preferred experience in Behavioral Health
• EPIC experience is preferred
