Billing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Generate and process precise and timely invoices in accordance with contract terms and billing schedules.

• Verify billing information for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to company policies and guidelines.

• Ensure compliance with billing regulations, customer contracts, and internal policies.

• Address billing inquiries from customers, internal teams, and other stakeholders.

• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes, coordinating efforts with relevant departments.

• Foster and maintain positive customer relationships concerning billing issues.

• Assist customers in resolving billing challenges and facilitate successful payment collection.

• Identify opportunities to optimize billing processes and enhance invoicing efficiency.

• Collaborate with team members to suggest and implement process improvements.

• Maintain accurate and well-organized billing records and documentation.

• Record billing-related data in appropriate systems and databases.

• Prepare billing reports and KPIs for management's review.

• Provide insights into billing trends and potential areas for improvement.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Associate’s degree or relevant certification in accounting or finance is advantageous.

• Over 2 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a similar financial role.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in billing operations.

• Proficient in utilizing billing software and accounting systems.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
