This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee Billing Workflows: Ensure daily management of the complete billing processes for both recurring and usage-based products.
• Implement weekly, one-time, ad-hoc, and manual invoicing as necessary to accommodate specific customer accounts or contractual arrangements.
• Supervise billing controls to guarantee precision in invoice generation, proration, and usage calculations.
• Manage A/R aging reports and cash application processes to ensure accurate and prompt posting of payments.
• Lead the company’s collections strategy by actively reaching out—including direct phone calls and targeted email escalations—to recover overdue amounts.
• Directly interact with customers who are late in payments to negotiate payment plans, safeguarding company revenue while fostering a professional customer relationship.
• Collaborate closely with Sales and Customer Experience (CX) to align collections efforts internally before proceeding with account escalations.
• Support critical, time-sensitive ad-hoc projects, ensuring execution from start to finish.
• Work with customers and CX to address any specialized issues or requests from clients.
• Collaborate closely with the Staff Accountant and Controller to assess doubtful accounts and bad-debt allowances.
• Assist the Accounting team during the monthly closing process related to revenue adjustments and reserves.
• Utilize systems-thinking to identify gaps, errors, or friction points in billing workflows, proposing and implementing solutions to address root-cause issues.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in billing operations, accounts receivable, or corporate collections.
• Excellent communication skills with proven comfort in performing direct outreach to customers (via phone and email) for collections purposes.
• Proven ability to collaborate across teams (Sales, Customer Success, Accounting) to tackle complex billing challenges.
• A systems-thinking approach with a commitment to streamline workflows and rectify repetitive operational errors.
• Familiarity with accounting principles (GAAP) related to accounts receivable and bad debt is advantageous.
