Billing Insurance Follow Up Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Communicate with third-party payers to confirm eligibility, check claim status, and take appropriate actions to resolve CMS 1500/837P claims.

• Leverage various internal and online follow-up tools provided by Westerkamp Group, LLC and our clients to address accounts effectively.

• Thoroughly evaluate account balances, Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS), denial reason codes (CARC), and remittance advice remark codes (RARC) on CMS-1500/837P claim forms to identify the underlying causes of denials.

• Manage work queues and monitor trends that can be reported to management.

• Accurately document accounts in line with the specific standards of Westerkamp Group or clients.

• Review paper communications and take necessary steps to address requests from insurance payers.

• Analyze and report errors related to cash posting payments and contractual adjustments.

• Comply with strict guidelines pertaining to HIPAA regulations.
