Billing Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Direct and manage daily billing and revenue cycle operations

• Track billing performance, accuracy, collections, denials, and overall revenue cycle KPIs

• Create and execute strategies aimed at reducing denials and enhancing revenue

• Ensure accurate claims submissions in line with CMS and commercial payer regulations

• Supervise billing audits, claim assessments, and quality control measures

• Analyze billing trends, discrepancies, and identify opportunities for process enhancement

• Collaborate with coding, credentialing, billing, and clinical operations teams

• Develop and implement policies and procedures to increase billing efficiency

• Lead, mentor, and provide support to members of the billing team

• Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and payer requirements

• Prepare and deliver billing and revenue cycle reports to senior leadership

• Assist with payer audits, internal audits, and compliance evaluations

• Promote continuous improvement initiatives throughout the revenue cycle department

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• Over 5 years of experience in medical billing, revenue cycle management, or healthcare finance

• At least 2 years of leadership or management experience

• Extensive knowledge of medical billing and claims processing

• Strong understanding of denial management

• Comprehensive knowledge of insurance payer guidelines

• In-depth knowledge of revenue cycle management

• Strong familiarity with healthcare compliance

• Proficient in billing and EHR/EMR systems

• Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving abilities

• Demonstrated capability to identify issues, enhance processes, and achieve measurable outcomes

• Experience in neurology, behavioral health, or specialty care billing is highly desirable

• Relevant certifications such as CPB, CPC, or CRCR are preferred
