Billing Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Reconcile bed utilization charts with billing spreadsheets to ensure precision and consistency.

• Conduct eligibility verifications (EMEVS) for prospective outpatient admissions and relay funding details to admissions personnel.

• Confirm insurance eligibility and update client insurance information within KIPU as necessary.

• Perform monthly eligibility assessments for all outpatient clients and adjust records accordingly.

• Identify and communicate modifications in client funding sources.

• Maintain and refresh outpatient billing spreadsheets weekly utilizing attendance records.

• Monitor outpatient authorizations and inform counselors of impending authorization expirations.

• Incorporate Vivitrol services into the relevant Fee-for-Service authorizations.

• Prepare and submit claims for outpatient Medicaid and Fee-for-Service.

• Reconcile Medicaid and Fee-for-Service payments and rectify billing discrepancies.

• Post Medicaid remittance payments to utilization tracking spreadsheets.

• Assist with the back-billing of Medicaid claims as required.

• Process and keep track of state-funded Uber transportation reimbursements.

• Generate and issue client deductible and co-payment invoices.

• Provide billing support for Detox and Residential Billing Specialists during their absences.

• Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA, state, federal, and organizational regulations.

• Execute additional tasks as assigned.
