This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Manage incoming and outgoing calls from patients with professionalism and compassion.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments to optimize provider availability.
• Conduct patient intake, gathering demographic and insurance information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and provide assistance with basic billing inquiries.
• Perform timely follow-ups, including callbacks for lab results and appointment reminders.
• Maintain precise and current patient records within the EHR system.
• Address patient questions and offer general front desk assistance.
• Effectively prioritize urgent calls and those related to appointments.
• Proficiency in both Spanish and English (mandatory).
• Experience as a medical receptionist, in healthcare support, or in a high-volume call setting.
• Practical experience with EHR systems.
• **Preferred experience with Athena EHR.**
• Strong phone etiquette with clear, professional, and friendly communication skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of insurance verification and healthcare workflows.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle multiple calls efficiently.
• Highly dependable, responsive, and engaged during work hours.
• Detail-oriented with a strong dedication to patient care.
• Preferred Background:
• Experience as a Medical Assistant or equivalent healthcare support role.
• Strong clinical knowledge with proficiency in medical terminology and a thorough grasp of patient care workflows.
• Experience in outpatient clinics or physician offices.
• Background in Nursing (RN, LPN) or other clinical roles is advantageous but not required.
• Experience in healthcare environments is preferred.
