This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Peru.
• Provide vital administrative assistance to U.S.-based medical practices by overseeing patient records.
• Confirm insurance eligibility.
• Manage prior authorization processes.
• Facilitate prescription workflows.
• Keep up-to-date provider credentialing documentation.
• Ensure the precision and compliance of medical records.
• Aid in medical documentation and record management.
• Handle prescription refill requests.
• Liaise with pharmacies concerning medication requests and prescription challenges.
• Assist with prior authorizations for medications, including submission, follow-up, status tracking, and denial management.
• Monitor prescription statuses to guarantee timely patient care.
• Support both medical/procedure and pharmacy prior authorizations.
• Collect and submit necessary clinical documentation.
• Follow up with insurance companies on authorization outcomes.
• Track pending authorizations, denials, appeals, and additional documentation requests.
• Assist with provider enrollment for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans.
• Maintain provider profiles within CAQH and credentialing platforms.
• Monitor the progress of credentialing applications and provider enrollment statuses.
• Keep track of provider licenses, DEA registrations, malpractice insurance, and credential expiration dates.
• Coordinate with providers, insurance companies, and patients.
• Support daily administrative operations and office workflows.
• Uphold confidentiality while managing sensitive patient information.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in Medical Administration, Medical Reception, Medical Virtual Assistance, Medical Records, Prior Authorizations, Credentialing, or a comparable healthcare support role.
• Advanced bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal).
• Experience in insurance eligibility verification and benefits.
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems.
• Strong understanding of medical documentation and healthcare administrative processes.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling protected health information (PHI).
