Bilingual Food Product Development Manager – English, Mandarin

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.

📋 Description

• Accountable for spearheading product innovation, managing the portfolio, and overseeing ingredient approval processes.

• Convert consumer, customer, and business requirements into effective product initiatives that enhance sales and profitability.

• Provide guidance in pinpointing opportunities, addressing challenges, and pushing forward innovation efforts.

• Oversee all stages of the product lifecycle, including ideation, product assessment, ingredient approvals, testing, commercialization, specification management, and ongoing improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.

• 5–8 years of experience in Product Development or Innovation within a QSR, foodservice, CPG, or food manufacturing setting.

• Strong technical expertise in food chemistry, ingredient functionality, sensory evaluation, manufacturing processes, and specification development; experience with frozen desserts or dairy is preferred.

• Demonstrated success in working in China with an understanding of the market and cultural dynamics.

• Proficient in English and Mandarin (both verbal and written).
