This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee all facets of patient enrollment, reimbursement processes, and coordination of services for prescribed therapies.
• Offer drug coverage assistance to both physicians and patients.
• Follow up on submissions for coverage under private and provincial drug plans.
• Guarantee prompt and sustained patient access to prescribed treatments.
• Collaborate with patients, insurers, physicians, and employers regarding reimbursement documentation and escalations.
• Examine patient charts, previous therapies, and tests to bolster coverage documentation.
• Deliver therapy guidelines and educational resources about programs to patients and physicians.
• Gather information and perform financial eligibility assessments for patients.
• Coordinate and monitor patient services effectively.
• Report Adverse Events and Severe Adverse Events in accordance with established SOPs.
• Maintain case-management service levels and program KPIs.
• Update patient and clinic information within the CRM system.
• Work collaboratively with internal patient support teams.
• Provide field insights and serve as a liaison to the Program Manager.
• Identify coverage challenges and escalate them to program management.
• Complete timesheets, expenses, mileage, and CRM reports within specified timelines.
• Execute additional tasks as directed by the Manager.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2–3 years of experience in a Patient Support Program.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and French is mandatory.
• Experience with reimbursement billing, special access, appeals processes, and field-based reimbursement support and consultation is advantageous.
• Familiarity with private and public reimbursement structures, systems, and processes is beneficial.
• Experience in oncology or rare diseases is considered a plus.
• Advanced understanding of the pharmaceutical distribution industry.
• Ability to work remotely in a quiet, private home office environment.
• Strong analytical capabilities, including the ability to interpret regulations and legislation.
• Excellent customer service skills, along with problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient typing skills and the ability to be a competent user of various computer-based applications.
