BI Report Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Develop, troubleshoot, and oversee SSRS reports along with associated data sets.

• Design, troubleshoot, and manage Power BI reports utilizing company-approved data models.

• Work in partnership with product owners, stakeholders, and the BI team on reporting and analytical initiatives.

• Ensure report functionality is validated with internal personnel and end-users.

• Collaborate with internal QA teams on acceptance testing and data validation efforts.

• Adhere to standard operating procedures for development, including design specifications, unit testing, and the BI development lifecycle.

• Uphold HIPAA regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).

• Notify the Compliance Officer and/or Human Resources of any identified HIPAA violations.

• Participate in and successfully complete mandatory HIPAA training, demonstrating competency.

• Adjust work hours to accommodate meetings across various time zones.

• Be prepared to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as necessitated by industry requirements.

• Undertake travel as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency with SQL Server 2008 R2 or later versions.

• Comprehensive knowledge of relational databases and T-SQL query development.

• Over 3 years of experience in SSRS development environments, including Visual Studio and Report Builder 3.0.

• Experience in creating Power BI reports.

• Excellent communication abilities.

• Familiarity with Kimball/Star-Schema data warehouse database design (highly preferred).

• Experience in developing reports using SQL Server Analysis Services Multidimensional (highly preferred).

• Understanding of MDX query development (highly preferred).

• Skills in Power BI modeling; knowledge of DAX and M is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies (highly preferred).

• Experience in reporting within the Healthcare/PBM/Pharmacy sectors (highly preferred).

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field.

• More than 3 years of SQL query development experience.

• Over 3 years of experience in SSRS development.

• Acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Availability during core hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CT.

• Ability to adjust work hours for meetings across different time zones.

• Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays in response to industry demands.

• Some travel may be necessary.
