BI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• In the role of our BI Engineer, you will serve as the crucial link between raw data and impactful decision-making.

• Your responsibilities will extend beyond merely "creating dashboards"; you will shape how we assess our entire business.

• Collaborate closely with our CEO, CTO, and growth leaders to transform ambiguous business inquiries into clear models and dependable metrics.

• Engage with product and finance leaders to convert vague questions into specific analytical needs.

• Design and manage our dbt project on BigQuery, developing dimensional models and macros that remain efficient as we expand.

• Create user-friendly Metabase dashboards that empower teams to make informed decisions independently, without needing to consult you for every query.

• Look beyond the pipeline. Analyze the data, investigate discrepancies, and uncover insights that we may not have thought to ask about.

• Establish yourself as the primary resource for essential mobile KPIs (DAU/MAU, LTV, ROAS) and ensure the underlying logic is robust.

• Identify shortcomings in our data infrastructure and suggest practical, AI-driven solutions to enhance our speed tenfold.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level experience in data/analytics with a strong emphasis on SQL and modeling tasks.

• Proficient in SQL - you comprehend partitioning, clustering, and how to craft cost-efficient queries in BigQuery.

• A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in creating dimensional models and incremental loads.

• Possess a "Product Mindset" - you inquire "What problem are we addressing?" before commencing any coding.

• Capable of elucidating complex data trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders without overwhelming them with details.

• Bonus points for experience with mobile applications or high-volume event-driven data.

• Familiarity with Metabase is a plus (or a readiness to learn it quickly - it's user-friendly).

• Knowledge of mobile attribution platforms (such as Adjust, AppsFlyer, or comparable tools).

• Open to experimenting with LLM for automating data tasks.
