This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.
• Design and implement data pipelines, transition legacy ETL workloads, and create scalable reporting and analytics solutions utilizing the Microsoft data platform.
• Develop intricate, high-performance T-SQL and SQL queries for data transformation, reporting layers, and stored procedures.
• Transition legacy SSIS packages to contemporary Microsoft Fabric equivalents, ensuring data integrity, performance, and maintainability throughout the transition.
• Design, create, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse, Warehouses) and Azure Data Services.
• Construct, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards, including semantic model design, DAX measures, and adherence to data modeling best practices.
• Work collaboratively with client stakeholders to gather requirements, document data flows, and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Develop and oversee data models (star schema, snowflake) within Azure Synapse Analytics, Fabric Warehouses, or SQL Server environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipeline performance, data quality, and query execution across production and development environments.
• Engage in architecture discussions and contribute to solution design decisions for new client engagements.
• Clearly document technical designs, pipeline logic, and data definitions for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Over 5 years of experience in data engineering, BI development, or comparable roles.
• Proficient in SQL, T-SQL, SSIS, and similar technologies.
• Demonstrated experience in migrating SSIS packages to cloud-native ETL/ELT solutions, with a strong preference for Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Factory.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, covering Lakehouses, Data Warehouses, Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, and Notebooks.
• Expertise in Power BI: report and dashboard development, DAX, data modeling, Power Query (M), and report publishing/workspace management.
• Practical experience with Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Database, and/or Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Solid understanding of data warehouse principles, including dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, and slowly changing dimensions.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments with multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Background in a client-facing consulting or professional services environment.
• Familiarity with Salesforce data integrations or Salesforce API consumption (REST/SOAP) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Python or PySpark for data transformation within Fabric Notebooks or Azure Databricks is a plus.
• Exposure to machine learning workflows or Azure Machine Learning is a plus.
• Microsoft certifications: DP-700 (Fabric Analytics Engineer), PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst), DP-203 (Azure Data Engineer), or equivalent are considered a plus.
