This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Develop and sustain enterprise dashboards and reports in Power BI utilizing governed enterprise data.
• Provide comprehensive reporting solutions, from confirming requirements to offering production support.
• Create, automate, and execute user-friendly dashboards and reports.
• Manage report operations, refresh schedules, and resolve defects within the enterprise BI layer.
• Construct and enhance Microsoft Tabular semantic models and metric definitions.
• Implement calculations for enrichment metrics and segment classifications for central dashboards.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers on logical and physical data modeling.
• Conduct consistency and quality checks on metrics and semantic models prior to release.
• Verify and validate the accuracy and integrity of dashboard and report data.
• Oversee automated ETL and BI processes, monitoring for both successes and failures.
• Perform root cause analysis for issues related to dashboards, models, and data delivery.
• Offer technical support and troubleshooting assistance to BI end users.
• Work with end users to identify requirements and enhance data management and delivery.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering and BI Developer teams on pipelines, models, and metric definitions.
• Train and support end users on BI tools, dashboards, and reports.
• Document the purpose of dashboards, metric definitions, data sources, and refresh dependencies.
• Adhere to documentation standards and contribute metadata to the enterprise catalog.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field; equivalent professional experience is also acceptable.
• Demonstrated experience as a BI Developer, BI Analyst, or in a similar role, with a proven track record of delivering enterprise BI solutions.
• Experience in delivering end-to-end reporting solutions from requirements gathering to production support.
• Advanced practical knowledge of Power BI, including Tabular models, DAX, and semantic modeling.
• Strong comprehension of medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric.
• Proficient in SQL/T-SQL, including queries, stored procedures, functions, DDL, and DML.
• Working knowledge of ETL/ELT patterns, including Azure Data Factory, Databricks, SSIS, or equivalents.
• Familiarity with the Azure data stack.
• Strong skills in data modeling, including ERDs, workflow diagrams, and dimensional (Kimball) modeling.
• Understanding of data types, normalization, data quality analysis, and efficient BI modeling.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and access protocols for enterprise BI and certified data sources.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn modern BI and analytics tools.
• Experience collaborating with Data Engineers, BI Developers, and end users.
• Broadband availability of at least 30 MBPS; only national providers such as Jio, Tata, Airtel, or Hathway Fiber are acceptable.
• A quiet, dedicated home office space that can accommodate two monitors and one laptop.
• Must ensure the safe and secure setup and usage of company IT assets.
• Preferred: experience in retail, consumer goods, or manufacturing analytics; knowledge of retail metrics; familiarity with Python, PowerShell, or other scripting languages; exposure to Databricks Unity Catalog, data lineage, observability, DataOps, BIOps, Agile, or Kanban.
• Necessary equipment will be supplied, including one or two monitors, one laptop, and supporting accessories.
