BI Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather requirements and convert them into actionable BI dashboards and reports.

• Design and create scalable data models, ERDs, and data flow diagrams.

• Build and sustain data marts to facilitate advanced analytics.

• Develop and present reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI and Tableau.

• Utilize predictive modeling and statistical analysis to recognize trends and forecast outcomes.

• Employ AI tools (e.g., Claude) to improve analytics workflows and reporting capabilities.

• Perform ad-hoc data analysis to assist in business decision-making.

• Ensure data quality, governance, and integrity across systems.

• Diagnose complex data issues and offer effective technical solutions.

• Aid in data governance initiatives, including metadata management and master data management (MDM).

• Engage in the complete data project lifecycle (intake, estimation, prioritization, and delivery).

• Identify and validate new data sources.

• Contribute to strategic data initiatives and ongoing improvement efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–10+ years of experience in BI development, database development, or data analytics.

• Strong proficiency in SQL (including advanced functions such as window functions and CTEs).

• Understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.

• Familiarity with ETL processes and tools.

• Advanced experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization platforms.

• Experience in statistical analysis and predictive modeling.

• Knowledge of modern BI ecosystems, including data lakes and dimensional modeling.

• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.

• Experience utilizing AI tools to enhance analytics workflows.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean).

• Experience working in distributed or remote teams.

• Background in supporting business stakeholders across multiple functions.
