This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.
• Create and implement a focused sales strategy for specialty food ingredients throughout the BENELUX region.
• Identify and assess new opportunities within pet food manufacturers and human food processors, establishing a strong sales pipeline.
• Provide technical presentations and facilitate on-site or virtual trials to showcase product efficacy.
• Work closely with R&D to modify formulations, drive innovation, and assist in the development of new products.
• Oversee pricing negotiations, contract proposals, and order forecasting to meet or surpass sales objectives.
• Track market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments, translating insights into practical strategies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Master Butcher, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of technical sales or application support experience in the food ingredients sector.
• Experience working with either a Producer or a Distributor.
• Proven track record in selling functional ingredients (such as Phosphated, Hydrocolloids, Emulsifiers, Acids, Proteins, Fibres, Yeast, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of ingredient functionality in meat processing, spice formulation, baking, and potato applications.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging with R&D, production, and procurement teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a remote sales territory, showcasing self-motivation, strong organizational skills, and effective virtual collaboration.
• Willingness to travel 30-40% of the time for customer meetings, industry events, and cross-functional gatherings.
• Proficiency in German and English; additional language skills are an advantage.
• Fully remote role with flexible working hours.
