This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop, design, and propose benefits programs and improvements to align with corporate strategy and industry standards.
• Collaborate with internal and external vendor partners as the plan owner to provide strategic oversight for all leave of absence programs, including FMLA, ADA, short-term disability (STD), long-term disability (LTD), parental leave, and other statutory or company-sponsored leaves.
• Oversee the basic and voluntary life insurance programs, managing enrollment, life event changes, and claims processing.
• Ensure that the company's voluntary benefits programs, such as supplemental insurance, discount programs, and access to other services, are modern and meet the needs of U.S. employees.
• Guarantee all plans comply with federal, state, and local laws, including FMLA, ADA, ERISA, HIPAA, and other applicable regulations.
• Work with business partners and vendors to monitor plan performance (e.g., cost, utilization, and benchmarking).
• Act as a subject matter expert for employee and management queries regarding benefits, leaves, and policies.
• Select, negotiate, and manage external vendors, brokers, and consultants to ensure exceptional service, competitive offerings, and cost-effective delivery.
• Evaluate program data and metrics to identify trends, enhance processes, and improve the overall employee experience.
• Partner with HR Business Partners, Legal, People Operations, Sourcing, Finance, and others to ensure program effectiveness, performance, and compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is advantageous.
• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in benefits management within a large, complex organization, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or SHRM-CP/SCP are highly sought after.
• In-depth knowledge of federal and state leave and disability laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage complex data and trends.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills, including the capability to convey complex information clearly and empathetically.
• Proficient in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and benefits administration platforms.
