This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Serve as the main point of contact for the benefits and leave of absence mailboxes; address Tier 2 questions concerning plan specifics, ID cards, and eligibility corrections; conduct personalized research to resolve intricate member issues.
• Oversee the intake and documentation processes for parental and sabbatical leaves; track timecards for employees on leave; execute manual pay calculations for FMLA and parental leave, including complex state-offset reconciliations.
• Assist with monthly premium and fee reconciliations by downloading invoices and performing initial eligibility-to-bill tie-outs; monitor weekly HRIS-to-Carrier file feed error reports for prompt resolution.
• Manage the "Atlas" benefits portal and internal knowledge base; refresh FAQs and disseminate communication content; maintain ticket logs and compile monthly operational metrics for leadership review.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not mandatory if relevant professional experience in HR/Benefits operations is demonstrated.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources or Benefits administration within a dynamic, high-volume organization.
• Proven capability to handle multiple sensitive files simultaneously with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality, and to perform essential tasks, such as manual leave-pay calculations and high-volume inbox management.
• Strong numerical skills, particularly for calculating payroll adjustments and leave-pay offsets under tight deadlines.
• Agility & Adaptability: Ability to swiftly shift between diverse tasks—from monitoring timecards to managing escalated employee issues without losing attention to detail.
• Process Optimization: A proactive "builder" mindset with the ability to identify and suggest improvements for automating manual, repetitive workflows within HRIS or leave management systems.
• Technical: Familiarity with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, UKG, ADP) and specialized Leave Management software. Previous experience with UKG and UNUM is preferred but not essential.
• Analytical: Proficient in Excel for data comparison and payroll calculations.
• Compliance: Basic understanding of FMLA, ADA, and state-mandated paid leave programs; comfortable navigating ambiguity in a rapidly changing regulatory and internal policy environment.
• Soft Skills: Outstanding empathy and a "white-glove" service orientation for employees experiencing sensitive life events.
