This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee employee benefit programs, encompassing medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, HSA/FSA, 401(k), and optional benefits.
• Administer benefit enrollments, manage qualifying life events, handle terminations, and oversee annual open enrollment processes.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of employee benefit records, payroll deductions, and eligibility information within Rippling.
• Act as the main contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits, carrier-related issues, and claims escalations.
• Collaborate with brokers, carriers, and vendors to facilitate benefit administration, manage renewals, and resolve issues.
• Assist with benefits compliance efforts, such as ACA reporting, COBRA administration, audits, and necessary employee notifications.
• Reconcile invoices from carriers, keep documentation organized, and aid in benefits reporting and data analysis.
• Identify and implement improvements to benefits processes, enhance employee experience, and boost operational efficiency.
• Provide backup payroll assistance as required, including payroll processing support, reviewing prorated deductions, and validating calculations for STD, LTD, and leave-related pay.
• Contribute to additional People Operations projects and initiatives as needed.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in employee benefits administration.
• In-depth knowledge of state leave and disability insurance programs.
• Familiarity with the Rippling HRIS and payroll system.
• Solid understanding of benefits compliance regulations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to manage sensitive and confidential information with care.
• Experience within a startup or high-growth setting is preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as SHRM-CP, PHR, CEBS, or similar are preferred.
