Behavioral Health Therapist, LMHC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Conduct psychosocial evaluations that align with evidence-based practices.

• Provide counseling and therapy for patients utilizing evidence-based treatment approaches.

• Demonstrate proficiency as an individual, family, and group therapist.

• Ensure continuous professional development as mandated by the licensing board.

• Complete necessary documentation and paperwork, including biopsychosocial assessments and treatment planning and execution promptly.

• Collaborate closely with patients, families, and the treatment team to address challenges in the treatment process.

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures consistently.

• Respond promptly to urgent or emergency situations.

• Manage a weekly caseload of 15-20 patients, with a minimum of 5 patients seen daily.

⛳️ Requirements

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor license is required in the practicing state (NY license).

• Must possess a NY Medicaid Provider Number.

• Familiarity with medical terminology is essential.

• Outstanding interpersonal skills are necessary.

• A thorough understanding of the psychosocial dimensions of illness and health is required.

• Experience with community facilities and resources for effective discharge planning is preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are a must.

• Strong skills in crisis intervention are essential.

• Proficient short-term counseling skills are required.
