Behavioral Health Clinician – Home Based

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Deliver individual, family, and group therapy to children experiencing severe emotional disturbances along with their families.

• Conduct clinical assessments, formulate diagnoses, and develop person/family-centered treatment plans.

• Maintain a minimum of 6 service hours per family each month (with at least 4 being face-to-face interactions).

• Ensure timely completion and updates of CAFAS/PECFAS and MichiCANS assessments.

• Maintain precise documentation in both electronic and paper records, including progress notes and treatment plans.

• Engage in supervision and team meetings to evaluate client progress and strategize support.

• Provide 24/7 crisis intervention support on a rotational schedule.

• Ensure adherence to funder and agency documentation standards.

• Authorize and provide only medically necessary and approved therapeutic services.

• Implement trauma-informed care practices and address co-occurring disorders.

• Must be willing to support individuals dealing with trauma-related challenges.

• Travel within the designated area using either a personal or agency vehicle to deliver community-based services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hold a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Social Work; AND

• Have an LLMSW or LMSW from the State of Michigan Department of Consumer and Industry Services. LLPC/LPC is also accepted.

• Must fulfill the qualifications of a Child Mental Health Professional (CMHP) and/or Mental Health Professional (MHP) as outlined by the Michigan PIHP/CMHSP Provider Qualifications for Medicaid Services.

• Possess a valid motor vehicle operator or chauffeur's license, along with auto insurance.

• Must have knowledge and understanding of co-occurring disorders (mental health and substance abuse).
