Behavioral Health Care Manager – BHCM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Allocate approximately 75% of your working hours to direct interactions with patients and their families.

• Provide brief, evidence-based care aimed at achieving significant improvements within a 6 to 12-month timeframe.

• Work in close collaboration with pediatricians, psychiatrists, and a multidisciplinary care team.

• Carry out intake assessments and ongoing follow-up sessions through telehealth platforms.

• Implement brief, evidence-based interventions such as CBT skills, Motivational Interviewing, Behavioral Activation, and Parent Coaching.

• Offer in-session education and practical recommendations to families.

• Monitor patient progress utilizing validated screening tools.

• Assist families with school accommodations, social determinants of health (SDoH) needs, and coordination with OT/PT/ST and other specialty services.

• Engage in weekly registry review meetings to inform care decisions.

• Record all patient care in our Electronic Health Record system (Healthie).

• Evaluate outcomes and progress through structured workflows.

• Oversee scheduling, follow-ups, and patient engagement.

• Implement standardized protocols for managing no-shows, cancellations, and safety concerns.


⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of an active and unrestricted clinical license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and/or Licensed Therapist (LMFT).

• Active licensure in one or more of the following states by the start date: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Maryland, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, or Washington.

• Proven experience working with children, adolescents, and families.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience OR at least 3,000 supervised hours.

• Flexibility with your schedule, including availability for 2 evenings per week and 2 to 4 weekend days per month.

• Experience and training in evidence-based modalities, including CBT, MI, BA, etc.

• Comfort and proficiency in a telehealth environment.

• Strong skills in communication, organization, and documentation.

• Capability to provide care through a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) lens, as well as a trauma-informed approach.
